Hannah Truby is a journalist, photographer, and editor based in the Reno–Tahoe region of the Sierra Nevada. Her reporting explores the relationships between people, place, and culture, with a focus on civic and environmental forces shaping the American West.

As reporter and managing editor at The Sierra Nevada Ally, Hannah produces investigative and narrative reporting on environmental policy, public lands, and issues affecting communities throughout the region. She also serves as editorial coordinator for Mountain Gazette, where she develops stories exploring the intersection of outdoor culture, recreation, and conservation.

Hannah’s work has been recognized by the Nevada Press Association for excellence in journalism. She holds a Master's in Journalism and a B.A. in English and German linguistics from the University of Nevada, Reno.
